Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

oda-travel.com uses cookies: small text files stored on your device when you visit our store. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and applicable ePrivacy law, this page explains which types of cookies we use, why, how long they stay, and how you can manage them at any time.

Functional cookies (always active)

These are required for the store to work and cannot be switched off. They remember your cart, keep you logged in during checkout, store your cookie choices and protect the store against abuse. They are set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform, and typically last from a single session up to 2 weeks. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - no consent required.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand how visitors use our store: which pages are visited, how long visits last and where visitors come from (Wetracked). We use this aggregated data to improve navigation, product pages and checkout. Analytics cookies are only placed with your consent and typically last up to 14 months. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Email marketing cookies

These cookies (Klaviyo) are used to personalise email marketing and to track your interaction with our emails and website for that purpose. They are only placed after you accept them via the cookie banner. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Managing your preferences

  • Cookie banner: you can accept, decline or change your choices at any time via the cookie banner on our store.
  • Browser settings: you can delete existing cookies and block new ones in your browser settings. Note that blocking functional cookies may break the cart and checkout.

International transfers

Some of our cookie providers may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your data, the right to data portability, the right to object, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the supervisory authority of your own EU country of residence.

Third parties

Cookies on our store are set by Shopify (platform and payments) and, only with your consent, by Wetracked (analytics) and Klaviyo (email marketing). We do not allow third parties to place cookies for any other purpose.

United States residents

This section applies if you are a resident of the United States and supplements the information above. It does not replace the sections above, which continue to apply.

How US privacy law treats cookies

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and comparable laws in other US states, the use of cookies for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising may qualify as "sharing" of personal information, even where no money changes hands. The categories of personal information collected through cookies, and the purposes for which they are used, are described in the United States section of our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information collected through cookies, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Opting out

You can opt out of analytics and email marketing cookies at any time:

  • Cookie banner: decline or change your choices via the cookie banner on our store. Your choice is stored and applies to future visits from the same browser.
  • Global Privacy Control: we honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and no consent-based cookies are placed. You do not need to take any further action.
  • Browser settings: you can delete existing cookies and block new ones in your browser. Blocking functional cookies may break the cart and checkout.
  • Email: send an opt-out request to support@oda-travel.com with the subject line "US Privacy Request".

Because opt-out choices are stored in a cookie on your device, you will need to repeat your choice if you clear your cookies, use a different browser, or use a different device.

Your rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect through cookies, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising, to receive a copy in a portable format, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Texas, Oregon and certain other states may appeal a decision to decline a request. Full details, including how we verify requests, our 45-day response time, and how an authorised agent may act on your behalf, are set out in the United States section of our Privacy Policy.

Children

Our store is not directed to children and we do not knowingly place non-essential cookies on the devices of children under 13 years of age.

Processing location

If you are located in the United States, data collected through cookies may be transferred to and processed in the European Economic Area, where our company is established, as well as in the United States by the providers named above.
